Victoria Murphy is a vocal artist and lead jazz vocalist in New York with a passion for performing, theatre and the many forms of expression between multiple cultures and genres. Throughout her busy concert career, she has found the time for teaching, coaching, and producing musical events.

Victoria has been a soloist in churches and has occasionally served as an organist, pianist, guitarist, and musical director. She is also a member of the esteemed choir of St. Patrick's Cathedral in New York City, which recently performed at Carnegie Hall and the Vatican. Victoria Murphy is also a member of The National Association of Pastoral Musicians.

Stage Credits

Victoria has performed in roles with The Manhasset Bay Opera and C.W. Post Summer Opera. Other stage performances include starring as Marian in The Music Man and Grace in Annie, with St. Paul Centre Stage and lead roles with LaMama E.T.C. in New York City. She also performed as a soloist with The New York Virtuosi Orchestra under conductor Kenneth Klein. Recently, Victoria sang the role of Mme. Bouvier in the musical Bernadette. She also served as president of The Guild of The NY Virtuosi for two years. Early in Victoria's career, she was a producer for Manhasset Bay Opera which produced operas providing a vehicle for National Audition winner opera singers and other professionals. She was honored to be a member of the chorus during her time as producer.

Singing Engagements

Victoria, being a talented lead jazz vocalist in New York, with training as a ceremony singer and a pastoral musician has been requested to perform for numerous special events. Among these are for the Oyster Bay Historical Society, Old Westbury Gardens, Steinway Hall, Friendly Sons of St. Patrick's Emerald Ball, Wild Geese, Hofstra University Concert Series, Inisfada, the United Nations, and Pierre Hotel. Recently, she performed for the German-American Society at Eisenhower Park on Long Island, New York. One of the biggest honors Victoria has ever experienced was her invitation to sing God Bless America after the tragic events of September 11th, 2001, broadcast on Telecare TV.
